After taking a first hand look at the damage, the National Weather Service has rated a tornado from earlier this week. The survey team confirms that it was an EF-2 tornado that tore up parts of Barnes County and Cass County.
The initial touchdown was about two miles east of Sibley around 12:30 on Tuesday and continued on a path that was approximately 18 miles long. The damage indicated wind speeds as high as 120 miles an hour.
