Race fans are waving the checkered flag. The red river valley fair board approved a contract Tuesday with businessman Danny Schatz.
Schatz will take over racing at the Red River Valley Speedway. He plans to make the track smaller and race on Wednesday nights.
The season will run from May through August. Under the contract, he has 30 race nights and 20 of those will be on Wednesday nights.
