After being pulled from the roads Saturday evening, Department of Transportation snow plows returned to Interstate 29 Sunday morning, clearing the way for traffic to return.
The stretch of I-29 from Fargo to Grand Forks reopened at 8am, although officials with the Department of Transportation issued a travel alert, over concerns of blowing and drifting snow, along with fresh snowfall and freezing rain in some areas. Conditions are icy along most of the route.
Interstate 29 is now open throughout North Dakota and South Dakota. Interstate 94 reopened Saturday.
