The Red River Basin Commission is holding a series of public meeting this month to hear what happens to property owners during significant flooding. It's part of the group's long-term flood solutions project. Both North Dakota and Minnesota Legislatures have asked the Basin Commission to come up with a damage-reduction strategy.
The commission will hold a meeting in Lisbon, North Dakota, Thursday, November 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the County Courthouse community room. Another meeting happens that night from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Valley City High School Activity Center.
