Fatal Accident Caused by Weather

Icy roads are being blamed for an accident that left one person dead and another injured. It happened on interstate 29, south of Pembina, North Dakota just before eight this morning.

 

Investigators say the driver of a pickup, 48-year-old Manuel Perez of cavalier lost control on a frosty bridge deck. It rolled several times and Perez was thrown from the vehicle.

 

He later died at the Pembina hospital. The passenger, 47-year-old Clayton Allison of Pembina had to be extricated and was taken to Altru in Grand Forks.
