Tiger Woods intends to remain out of golf at least until the Masters, two people with knowledge of his plans have told The Associated Press. Woods has been practicing at Isleworth near his Orlando home the last two weeks, and swing coach Hank Haney flew there during the weekend to work with him.

The USDA is making disaster aid available to farmers in 37 Minnesota counties, mostly in the northern two-thirds of the state. It's prompted by the combined effects of excessive rain, flooding, flash flooding, unseasonably cool temperatures, frosts and freezes, and drought during the 2009 growing season.

A Ward County man has been seriously wounded in an attack at a gas station near Minot. Sheriff Vern Erck says the victim was slashed in the neck with a box cutter or knife.

A Grygla, Minnesota, man is accused of killing his four-month-old son. Thirty-one-year-old Damien Marsden was charged in Pennington County today with second-degree murder and murder while committing child neglect and endangerment.

The F-M Humane Society is urging pet owners to make plans for their animals in the case of flood evacuations. Officials say the best way to protect your pet is to make arrangements ahead of time for a friend or family member to house them because it causes less stress for the animals.
