Moorhead Mayor Mark Voxland is headed back to city hall for another go-round. He won today's race with challenger Travis Reimche 4,321 to 3,035.
Voxland was favored in all but two of the city's 13 precincts. Reimche won in the northwest (Moorhead Country Club neighborhood) and northeast sections of the city. " When we look at the challenges we're going to have with the budget given the Minnesota budget shortfall, flood protection, both long and short term, I think people have faith in what I see as to where we have to go," he says.
This is Voxland's third mayoral win.
About 7,400 voters cast ballots in Tuesday's election -- that's a third of of Moorhead's registered voters.
