Jennifer Walla suffered a concussion and other injuries when she was struck while riding her bike on Highway 81 north of Harwood.
The driver in a hit and run that left a bicyclist seriously injured has pleaded guilty to criminal charges in the case.

Troy Allan Greenlund of Harwood, ND, is sentenced to serve six months of a one-year sentence for leaving the scene of an accident involving serious injury.

The plea deal makes the charge a Misdemeanor by Disposition, which means that once he's served his time, plus a year and a half of probation, it will be legally reduced to a misdemeanor.

Jennifer Walla suffered a concussion and other injuries when she was struck while riding her bike on Highway 81 north of Harwood. Walla says a doctor told her that her bike helmet probably saved her life.

In court, Greenlund admitted he was impaired by alcohol at the time of the accident, and apologized for the crime. Greenlund has a prior drinking and driving-related conviction.
