Safe and Sober campaign nets 377 citations

Authorities in Clay County looking for speeders have been busy over the past month.

Throughout July, sheriff's deputies, along with police from Moorhead, Dilworth, Glyndon, and Hawley, had extra patrols on the roads through the safe and sober program looking for speeders.

They issued 377 tickets over the month for speeding.

Authorities say speed contributes to about 150 deaths each year in Minnesota.
