The state patrol says the Audubon, MN, squad was west-bound on Highway 10, responding to a call with lights and sirens, when it was struck by a pickup that was southbound on Highway 59.
Eric Hegna, 41, was taken by ambulance to the Detroit Lakes hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger, a Lake Park police officer, was treated and released. The driver of the pickup was not hurt.
The crash happened just before 10 p.m.
